Pray for the family of Cecil Poythress.  He was a good barber and a good man.  One of his sons was in my mom's class a few years ago, too.

Also, Mrs. Etta Baker died Friday at the age of 93.  She was an incredible guitar player and one of North Carolina's few claims to cultural fame.  She was one of the last players to pick the Piedmont two-finger blues.  She played her guitar an hour a day every day from the time she was three until just a few years ago.  Artists who claimed her as an influence include Doc Watson, David Holt, Taj Mahal, and Bob Dylan.  I have a few of her songs in my AIM getfile if anyone wants them.

I hate every person that left tonight's game early.  I hope you have learned your lesson.

Don Knotts
1924-2006

Everyone should spend this week watching reruns of The Andy Griffith Show.  Right now, "Citizen's Arrest" is on.  It is the first episode that I ever watched and it is one of Barney's best.  Comment below with your favorite Barney Fife line.  I'll go first just to get things started.

Today on the Price Is Right some big goofy looking guy was on contestant's row and overbid this nice looking old lady by $1 three times in a row.  Jerk.  The third time he won, got to play Plinko, won $20,000 and then made it to the showcase showdown.  I left the room and did not see the outcome, but I really hope that he didn't win after being a jerk to the nice old lady.  Ends up he was there with a group from his Bible college.

“I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” -Gandhi

I don't think Jesus would overbid a nice old lady by $1 on the Price Is Right.

I am restless and do not want to do homework.

I think that Spencer Griffith should play the sitar.  I think that work out well for him.  Imagine all the cool bumper stickers you could put on a sitar case.  People just expect you to smoke pot and go to orgies so anything less offensive would be ok on a sitar case.  You could even put racial slurs on a sitar case and nobody would know because how many black people do you know who go to sitar shows?

Every person in Johnston County is going to play the sitar now.  Underground Benson sitar show in one month.
